I had faction gear too on my Raven / then CNR, then BORED then Tengu / Machariel ^ ^. I still use 80% of my old faction gear. SO if you never loose ships. Go forward.

TO ANSWER TO THE OP I fly a MACHARIEL. This ship is similiar to the vargur. Combat wise, the mach has more dps but less tracking than a varg. I dont have any tracking issue because i manually pilot the ship in order to reduce the transversal.

I have fitted 800mm autocannon on my machariel. Well, everything is ok excepted the crappy effect when you fire. It's just ugly. Well, the disclaimer of dominion with bright heavy chaingun burst... what was it if no autocannons? A lie ? =)
